Wolverine Manifest Destiny #1 (OF 4)
The X-Men have arrived in San Francisco - but Wolverine finds he's left more than his heart there! Something happened in Chinatown more than 50 years ago...something that the people there still have not forgotten. And now Logan finds himself a marked man, pursued by fighters from every dojo in town--not to mention the mystical warriors of the criminal Triad and their merciless leader...who just happens to be Logan's ex-girlfriend. Guess you shoulda stayed in New York, huh bub?

Nope, but I wish it was this Wednesday. The only thing better than (or possibly equal to) Millar on Wolverine, is Aaron on Wolverine. Speaking of Aaron, I can't wait for Aaron on the Punisher X-Mas Special in December.
Posted by comicdork37 on 10/20/08 at 08:09 PMI'm not buying this, I don't think, but that's a pretty cover.
Posted by ohcaroline on 10/20/08 at 08:16 PM@ohcaroline, you gotta be kidding me! Jason Aaron on Wolvie is too good to pass up!
Posted by ActualButt on 10/20/08 at 11:01 PMJason Aaron? Wolverine?
YES PLEASE!
Posted by MisterBlank on 10/20/08 at 11:39 PMDamn, that blurb makes it sounds pretty awesome, "Logan finds himself a marked man, pursued by fighters from every dojo in town--not to mention the mystical warriors of the criminal Triad and their merciless leader...who just happens to be Logan's ex-girlfriend." PLUS it's Jason Aaron on Wolverine -- that's pretty hard to pass up.
Posted by WadeWilson on 10/21/08 at 07:14 AMAs much as we know Aaron is gonna rock wolverine, Segovia is gonna be awesome too.
Posted by rift1128 on 10/21/08 at 08:10 AM@ActualButt I already read Jason Aaron on 'Wolverine.' He's a good writer but I didn't particularly buy his characterization, and I'm wary of this being the exact same story, again.
Posted by ohcaroline on 10/21/08 at 01:42 PMIf I hear this is good, I'll get the trade.

Good start to the series.
Posted by rift1128 on 10/23/08 at 11:11 AMUm, I was hestitating over this but I picked it up anyway and I really liked this. I loved the art work and it's an interesting start to the story.
Posted by Garrett on 10/23/08 at 11:22 AMDid anyone else notice that the layouts for the art were very similar to what Simone Bianchi is doing on Astonishing X-Men? Right down to a shadowed Wolverine extending out of the frame and into the white space. Just an observation.
Posted by comicdork37 on 10/23/08 at 05:17 PMI bought this for one reason: Jason Aaron.
The art reminded me of a sloppier Lenil Yu, rather than Bianchi, but my god, Segovia can not draw a cowboy hat to save his life. The one on the bottom right panel of page nine (page w/ domino players) was the most ridiculous of them all.
Intresting story so far though.
Posted by ButchCassidy on 10/23/08 at 11:20 PMdon't get me wrong, i love aaron. but this issue didn't really do it for me.
