The good news: Kitty's managed to figure out Wolverine's birthday and has arranged a surprise candlelight dinner with the love of his life, Mariko Yashida, as his present. The bad news: The reason Wolverine never tells anybody about his birthday is that every year on that date Sabretooth shows up to dice him into cutlets. And Kitty has put Mariko within Sabretooth's grasp!

I only wish there was a background. WTF, I'm paying $2.99 for this and they can't draw trees or some shit in the background. Rediculous.

Technically, this really IS 'Kitty: First Class" isn't it? I mean, Wolverine had been around for years before Kitty joined the team!

@ohcaroline - Good call. But I don't think "Kitty: First Class sells" as many books.
@conor - Sarcasm. I thought the Norm MacDonald catch phrase "Rediculous" would have given it away.
I just noticed that the cutline on the text for this, combined with the cover, makes it look like Kitty arranged a romantic birthday dinner for Logan and Sabretooth. Now I'm sort of torn, because I'm happy someone remembers Mariko existed, but the other scenario is way funnier.

@Brandon2- Well he is Canadain, and following continuity he's a Maple Leafs fan, but at the very least he should of been a vancover, montreal, or toronto fan. Ottawa doesn't cout because it's a reletivley new team and wasn't around then.

Can someone explain this "series"? Isn't this just a reprint of Kitty Pride & Wolverine mini-series from the 80's. I was a huge X-Men reader until about 1991 and I'm trying to get started again, but I'm confused.
