I totally agree. The writing was always good but Immonen's art has really set a new tone for the book and made it that much better.
Posted by rift1128 on 04/22/08 at 02:14 PMExpectations are high, with the promise that this issue will be "the absolute worst day of Peter Parker's life ... EVER." That sounds like "Pick of the Week" potential to/for me. Plus, it's a new chapter, so everyone should try it! Can anyone tell us the history between Spidey and Red? Who's tougher?
Posted by PymSlap on 04/22/08 at 04:05 PMThere's no history, right? I think this might be his first Ultimate appearance (He's an X-Men villian in the main Marvel U). Unless I missed his previous appearance?
Posted by southbymidwest on 04/22/08 at 10:24 PM@southbymidwest-- Omega appeared around issue 65 or so, that design is Bagley's when they intoduced him to the Ultimate line. This'll be his second appearance in the book I believe.
Posted by Kimbo on 04/23/08 at 10:11 AMexcellent, entertaining one-shot story. some great JJJ in here too!
Posted by TehDave on 04/24/08 at 10:08 AMI actually .. REALLY REALLY like this issue. Great plot and just a one-shot --- so rare these days. It does remind me of that recent episode of Spectacular Spider-Man in which Rhino attacked the Bugle and got mad at JJ, and spidey saved the day.

I liked Bagley's art a lot but since Immonen has taken over this book has been knocking it out of the park month in and month out.
