Fraction's last Thor "one-shot" was the first Thor book I have ever read and it was AMAZING. Flipped through the preview copy of this at my LCS last week and from the images it definitely lives up to the "reign of BLOOD" title. Looks to be a bloody good time.

Fraction, Aaron and Millar can do no wrong in my book right now. Everything I have read from them recently has been golden.

The first one shot was sweet, great art.  I am really digging what marvel is doing with Thor atm.  Hopefully the upcomming SI tie in will also rock.

I like how marvel is really controlling how much Thor they put out there.  They're showing some history in this book and JMS is handling his return to the Marvel U in the main book, and he's really not showing up anywhere else.  Very un-marvel

@cutty  He was in 'Invincible Iron Man #2.'  Neat little scene -- but minimal, so it fits with your theory.

Not as much blood as I remember when I flipped through preview copy a few weeks ago but still a bloody good read. Looking forward to the next/last "one-shot".  Anyone else think that these Thor books aren't really one-shots when they seem to build on one another?

@ohcaroline - yeah i read that one and really liked that scene too.  apparently Matt Fraction is the only writer besides JMS that gets the keys to the convertable so far

It's weird that they're doing this thing as a series of "one-shots". I wonder if that's because people are more likely to pick up a one-shot than a mini-series, or that this alows them to not have a monthly schedule for this book, because there is no book, just some one-shots. I don't really care though. These are awesome and satisfying.

If you aren' reading this, maybe this line of dialog from the book will convince you:

"'Tis I, alchemist. I will pilot your blood colossus."

 Wonderful.
