Thor Ages Of Thunder

Thor Ages Of Thunder

As the Mighty Thor reclaims his rightful spot in the Marvel Pantheon, we join Matt Fraction and Patrick Zircher for a special examining the triumphs and tragedies that have befallen the God of Thunder across the eons. As the things he holds dearest are threatened by unimaginable forces of evil, Thor must rise up, again and again, to hold the line against terror and chaos as only the God of Thunder can!

Looking forward to this for many of reasons. Love Fraction's work, the preview art has been fantastic, and if Fraction knocks it out of the park it's another SI Tie-in I'll be buying.  Plus while JMS's run has been fantastic a little more action from Thor is never a bad thing.

Is this just going to be a ____ Saga, or a one-shot story? I really don't want to pay for a recap of past Thor moments.

I'm 99% sure its 3 books - all giving a new take on Thor's past

Thor done right!!!!  Fraction blew me away.  The art was fantastic.  I am already a Thor fan, but I really am geeked up about this book.  If you like the Mythological aspect to Thor, then this is for you.  Finally gave the Thunder God some cajones.

I couldn't believe how bad the writing in this book was.   The dialogue was horrible  ex. "the mighty Thor himself brought down the giant that brought down a part of Asgard's mighty wall."   The plot was ridiculous, hmm loki screws everyone twice.   Odin begging for apples, what is this crap.  If you want some good Thor check out JMS's run it's awesome.  Oh and I guess Fraction has never read the Jack London's To Build a Fire.

I loved this issue ... cannot agree with apesrus .. I thought it more of a fable and should be read as such (and I enjoyed JMS run immensly too).

It was great to see the apples of asgard mentioned again ... A great story I read when I was a kid was #370 of the original run ... set in the old west in the 1800's Loki had all the apples taken from asgard by a troll to midgard where a very old Thor had to battle a young Loki .. some more trolls .. and he got some help from a poker player named sundance.

I didn't know Thor could be like this (this was my first Thor book ever and I loved it).
