Order #10
Shell-shocked, shattered, and--worst of all—depowered, the men and women that were once the Order stand face to face with the big-bad that's toyed with them for 9 whole issues in various forms and guises and shapes and sizes. They might be broken--but can The Order be beaten? The end of a strange and vicious trip arrives, and God only knows if the Order will survive. As this is our last issue, y'know, you might think you know the answer. But you might be wrong! You don't know. You DON'T! Hooray! Goodbye! By Matt Fraction (PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL, Casanova), Kaare Evans (Immortal Iron Fist) and Barry Kitson (Empire, Legion of Superheroes).

Wow, Anthem actually looks bad ass on that cover -- just in time for his book to be canceled.
Prediction: the story ends with Henry Hellrung resuming his acting career, playing Tony Stark in a big summer movie. I just can't see the Fraction resisting that opportunity.
Posted by ohcaroline on 04/28/08 at 05:49 PMso do you think any of these characters will stick around? i hope so, i really love this book and i think fraction's managed to create some really interesting characters that shouldn't fall by the wayside
Posted by mikegraham6 on 04/29/08 at 06:11 AMI really wish this book wasn't ending. My heart is breaking, even though my treacherous wallet quietly rejoices.

They really mishandled the 50 state initiative. I see all this potential, but I see it squandered....

Posted by JoeNY on 04/29/08 at 03:17 PMSo, how did this finish guys? I'm eagerly anticipating the second trade as I LOVED the first one. I would have gotte in on the issues, but it had been announced as dead in the water by the time I was ready for it.
Posted by Neb on 04/30/08 at 11:24 PM@Neb. I was really happy with the resolution, in general; the second trade will have some great stuff in it -- though, unfortunately, the art in the last couple issues is sort of a mess, with Kitson not able to finish up. It looks like they were rushing to have this out before Fraction's 'Iron Man' series starts next week.
Posted by ohcaroline on 05/02/08 at 01:47 AMDecent finish to a very good series. This book just never got the push it deserved.
