I think it jumped when they stopped the Quantum Leap/Sliders thing and let them be in control and hang out in the pink crystal palace run by grasshoppers. It's felt distinct-less ever since.

I wonder when this book (the "old" Exiles) jumped the shark. It may be way back when Tony Bedard left. It's a shame because the first few arcs of the old Exiles were good (as is the concept in general)
