This could be good, but I highly doubt it will.

No way in hell I'm buying this, but I love Machine Man and the Army of Darkness tribute cover.

Posted by ultimatehoratio on 10/06/08 at 05:28 PM

I, too, like the cover (in spite of hating Greg Land) and look forward to this series. Too many people are letting the past hype around Marvel Zombies and Marvel Zombies 2 influence their expectations of this book.

The last two series were a lot of fun for me, and I can't imagine why this one won't be just as enjoyable.

Posted by J4K3 on 10/06/08 at 06:01 PM

Ill agree with you that Marvel Zombies One and even the Army of darkness one were good. But Marvel Zombies 2...not so much.

Posted by Guardedmarman on 10/06/08 at 06:12 PM

I totally loved MZ2. It was a logical sequel in the same vein as the original. What's not to like?

Posted by J4K3 on 10/06/08 at 07:59 PM

I dont know, I liked it but I didnt enjoy it as much as the others. I had high hopes, and I dont know I was expecting something else, I just remeber feeling like the last issues werent to good.

Either way, I'd be lying if I didn't say I was holding a little bit of a grudge towards Kirkman, so him not writing this kinda makes me want to pick it up even more. I've enjoyed Fred Van Lente and Kev Walker's work in the past, so here's hoping this is as fun as Marvel Zombies has been in the past.

Myspace comic book had a 10 page preview in one of there blogs, it raised my expectations for this book quite a bit. It looked pretty damn good imao.

Posted by Animalvader1 on 10/06/08 at 11:24 PM

Well, Hickman isn't writing it. I probably won't pull it, but will wait for the trade ( only 4 issues).

Posted by TacticalChaos15 on 10/06/08 at 11:48 PM

There is a 11 page preview on some websites and I gotta say....this is kinda interesting. Not saying I'm gonna buy it, if I wanna waste 3.99 on something it'll be on food or something. But those 11 pages I saw were much better then anything I read on MZ2. But yeah probably hold out on this til trade.

Again?

Posted by UMFskibum on 10/07/08 at 09:12 AM

Is it sad i'm buying this just because of the deadpool apperace?

Posted by MrPopular on 10/07/08 at 11:09 AM

LoL at myself, I meant Kirkman.

Posted by TacticalChaos15 on 10/07/08 at 02:51 PM

@TheNextChamion

I'm sure you'd rather waste your 3.99 on that Punisher: War Zone crap by Garth Ennis :)

Posted by J4K3 on 10/07/08 at 03:20 PM

@J4K3: Sadly Ennis's Punisher series wasnt called that, your referring either the old Punisher series or the new film coming out. Your talking about The Max print I assume.....

Nice try though :)

Posted by TheNextChampion on 10/07/08 at 04:20 PM

No. I'm talking about Punisher: War Zone, the 6-issue series be Ennis and Dillon that serves as a sequel to Welcome Back Frank. It starts in December. Don't you check out solicitations?

Not a nice try on your part. Epic fail, sir.

Posted by J4K3 on 10/07/08 at 04:34 PM

series by Ennis*

Oh, and you may want to check your facts before dismissing others'.

Posted by J4K3 on 10/07/08 at 04:36 PM

@J4K3: *slow clap* Well done, nicely played good sir.

I believe the proper vernacular is: 'I got served' :)

Posted by TheNextChampion on 10/07/08 at 06:50 PM

Perhaps. No offense intended, though. Just informing.

Posted by J4K3 on 10/08/08 at 01:48 PM

i'm not sure why this needed to exist, much like top 10 from last week. They're not bad books, just meh.

Posted by mulletpeep on 10/08/08 at 03:57 PM

Wow I really liked this book, I liked it more then Marvel Zombies 2 but I really didnt like that at all so that doesnt mean much, but ya I thought it was good.

Posted by Guardedmarman on 10/08/08 at 10:06 PM

this was a good book.  i enjoyed it and it was fun.  that is all there is to it.

Posted by CaptianJack on 10/09/08 at 12:55 AM

See? I told you! :)

Posted by J4K3 on 10/09/08 at 03:42 PM

The beginning of this book was fantastic, the second half not nearly as exciting but this feels like it's gonna be a fun ride.

Posted by Kimbo on 10/09/08 at 07:25 PM

Without kirkman or phillips?   This book sucks don't waste your money, kirkman's zombies had a little bit of camp humor to it and phillips art was awesome, and that was what made the book great.   Aghhhhhh, this should not have been done.

Posted by ApesRus on 10/12/08 at 02:27 PM

This turned out to be enjoyable.

And any book that brings back Jocasta is a win for me.

Posted by Diabhol on 10/12/08 at 11:48 PM

@ApesRus - Uuuuuuh, wrong. Wrong. Completely wrong. If you haven't read it, you can't know.
