Posted by nuclearman on 08/10/09 at 07:10 PMMy love of this book was rejuvenated last month. This looks awesome.
Posted by PraxJarvin on 08/10/09 at 09:51 PMCan't wait to read this arc, especially after the preview; all signs point to greatness.
Posted by CaptainCanada on 08/10/09 at 10:23 PM@Prax: I called it! Let it be known I swayed you back into this! :)
Posted by TheNextChampion on 08/11/09 at 12:16 AMI have to admit, that cover is hilarious
Posted by drakedangerz on 08/11/09 at 01:50 AMThis is the 2nd solict I've seen that has the solict for the NEXT issue.
Is this how Marvel presented the solic for #132? Bizarre.
Posted by TheNextChampion on 08/11/09 at 04:50 PMThis series inherited it's numbering from the Incredible Hulk series. Now we have the Red Hulk series at 13, and another Hulk series that is going to be #601 based on the old numbering, and this one rolls on at #132 which in another 468 issues will also be at #600!
I am calling "Shenanigans!"
Posted by Unoob on 08/11/09 at 06:18 PM@Unoob: They're going to change the numbering on this soon. I remember an article at SDCC mentioned that either this will be numbered to how many issues it's been as a Herc title; or just renumber it to #1.
Doesn't bother me though. Makes me feel like this has been around for 11 years! I hope that will happen for real.
Posted by TheNextChampion on 08/11/09 at 08:49 PMWhy does numbering matter to people??
Beyond the 'anal-retentive' aspect to it, what does it matter?
Posted by MisterJ on 08/12/09 at 12:34 PMYou don't see a lot of stories with Greek mythology mixing it up with Norse mythology.
But with Van Lente and Pak; they make it into a beautiful package. Another great issue by them and this Reilly Brown guy is a pretty good artist. Maybe not as manly as Ryan Stegman; but still great. I just really hope more people give this series a try.

Oh it matters to Marvel. They are cooking the books so much just so they could put out a buncha 600's. And it matters to me. It screws with my database! Vol 2, of this goes to this number, then the next volume of that starts at another number. Then Vol 4 will start with the old Vol 1 number! How the hell am I supposed to enter these books in the computer!?!?!?!?!?!
And it's NOT ANAL-RETENTIVE! THERE MUST BE ORDER!
Posted by Unoob on 08/13/09 at 05:52 PMToo bad they won't be able to get F4 600 out in time for this year. Here's looking at 75 years!
Sometimes I worry about the well-being of this book, that it's getting enough sales and support. This new bi-weekly deal leaves me much reassured (and pretty darn excited).

Extra credit goea to the letterer for adding the word 'HUMMER' into a sound effect
Posted by TheNextChampion on 08/15/09 at 12:37 AMHercules disguised as Thor? I'm intrigued.
