Me too. Can't wait to see Paul Pelletier cut loose on a Sci-Fi book again!!!!!
Posted by torippu on 05/12/08 at 07:26 PMa year or two ago this book would do nothing for me. But if I can get into Nova, I gotta give these guys a shot.
Posted by nroa on 05/12/08 at 09:43 PMROCKET RACCOON FOR PRESIDENT! This is gonna be awesome. Has Marvel tagged Abnett and Lanning as "Rising Stars" or "Young Guns" or anything like that? Cuz they really need to showcase these guys' talent a lot more. I feel like enjoying the book makes me part of a small secret society of fans that stumbled upon the Annihilation event books through the thicket of Civil War and World War Hulk.

Posted by ActualButt on 05/13/08 at 02:07 AMF*#$ Rocket Racoon. He's nothing without Groot.
Posted by southbymidwest on 05/13/08 at 02:44 AMLove the team assembled--creatively and in the book. If anyone wants a good recommendation for Abnett-Lanning get "Legion Lost" with great art by Coipel from a few years ago. Wish DC would put it in trade.
Posted by saturnmda on 05/13/08 at 10:36 AMI'm actually pretty excited about this one, especially after the job these guys have done on Nova. And Pelletier's pencils. Forget it. I'm on board.
Posted by Neb on 05/13/08 at 04:44 PMAWSOME!!!

Posted by kingvyper on 05/15/08 at 04:22 AMUgh. I guess you needed a strong background of other comics to appreciate this one. I gave it a shot because it was a "first issue". I found it confusing, a tad cliche (a traitor in thier midst...), and a tad too silly (ok maybe i can buy a talking racoon, but a talking soviet dog (who speaks English???). Maybe i just can't suspend my disbelief as much as i can on other titles. Great for those of you who know the back story, it sucks for us newbies.
Posted by RadConsv on 05/15/08 at 08:24 AMFinally star-lord and his crew are back!! i loved the Star-Lord mini's and i love the new cast of characters
finally no SECRET INVASION just some good fun spacey times
Posted by rayclark on 05/15/08 at 04:25 PMRadConsv, the english speaking soviet dog Cosmo, if you noticed, speaks with a russian accent, so clearly russian is his first language, english his second. Also, it brings up the question: "when dealing with telepathy, are there such things as languages?" I've always thought not.
Posted by ActualButt on 05/17/08 at 11:24 AMI could have done without the relatiy show, real world backstage cam thing, but I loved this. I love that Marvel is bringing its outer space characters and stories back in a great way.
Posted by RABinRVA on 05/17/08 at 08:25 PMtwo words: Cosmicky Goodness!!!
Posted by English on 05/18/08 at 02:45 PMSooooo good. The single panel with Rocket and Cosmo alone makes it my pick.
Posted by HBD on 05/19/08 at 01:08 AMAbsolutely zero exposure to any of the back story, and I was sucked right into this book. I am now going to take a look at Nova because of this book. This was totally my book of the week.

Really looking forward to this given how great Nova has been.
