Ghost Rider #24

Ghost Rider #24

What do you get when you take a maximum security prison filled with sinners of every sort and add a bonafide Spirit of Vengeance to the mix? A hot time in the old hoosegow, that's what you get. In this first part of an all-new arc, Blaze goes behind bars, still hell-bent on vengeance, still looking for answers. But is he prepared to face the mysterious man in cell 17? The one with the sign on his door that says "Do not open under any circumstances"? The one who just got set loose? Uh oh. Bring your riot gear. Featuring art by Tan Eng Huat (Silver Surfer: In Thy Name).

With a ton of books on my pull list this week this is what I am most excited about. The previos arc of Aaron's Ghost Rider was amazing considering I have never read this title before then. Interested to see what this next arc brings after the cliffhanger ending of last issue. Plus a new artist is always exciting (or scary).

Oooh, this is gonna be good.

@comicdork37

you definately don't need to worry about tan eng huat. his work is absoultely beautiful.

@MisterBlank: Thanks for the reassurance. I checked out some of his work online and it looks good. It's just such a different style than the last artist (who grew on me over the last arc).

I'm the same as you comicdork, I never read this title before Aaron's run, and I'm loving it. I'm on board for as long as Jason Aaron is writing.

This will be my first issue since I dropped this at #3, but the combined hype of this run and Jason Aaron in general have convinced me to give it a whirl. Plus, Ghost Rider is boss.

Does anyone have any idea who long Aaron intends to stay with the book?

@ Mithel - Aaron is starting on a new arc with issue #29 (I don't know how many issues the arc is) so we have a few issues to look forward to. :)

I started the previous arc but fell off when it didnt interest with the art. I like the new artist with Huat so is it worthy to pick up now?

@rift1128: The story of this one is definitely worth it right off the bat but it does build on the last arc (you could still read this without the one before). I initially didn't like the art last arc but it grew on me and fit the story. This issue the inking and coloring looked weird to me but the art is still good for the most part (cleaner lines than the last one). Once again I think the art will grow on me. If you can put the art aside (I know this can be hard) the story that Aaron has been telling since he jumped on this book has been AMAZING. He is my golden boy right now and hasn't let me down yet. If his name is on a book I am buying no matter what it is.

Was pretty crazy. the art is pretty good for the most part (being new, take a issue or two to adjust).
