To me, it doesn't matter. Hickman's books, for me, are the ones that, whenever they come out, are just golden and worth the wait.
Posted by GungaDin on 06/09/08 at 06:00 PMI like both Transhuman and Pax Romana, so even though I'm not interested in the plot all that much, I'm buying this since there's not much else coming out this week for me.
Posted by goat77 on 06/09/08 at 06:22 PMI love Pax but didn't really enjoy the first issue of transhuman. This is gonna be a gametime decision when I stop at my LCS
Posted by cutty on 06/09/08 at 08:57 PMCan't wait for this one.
Posted by doddzilla on 06/10/08 at 02:25 AMI agree with NealAppeal, I love Pax Romana, but man it's been a slow had wait for each issue. I heard he's has two new borns on his hands, so its hard to blame him, but damn I'm dying for a new Pax issue.
Bah, anyway cannot wait to pick this book up on wedenseday, the premise, writing, and art all look and sound incredible.
Posted by PatK on 06/10/08 at 02:54 AMI'm picking this up because I feel like I missed the boat on Pax Romana, and I love a god alien invasion story.
Posted by Brandon2 on 06/10/08 at 08:56 AMI think there's going to be a lot more to this story than the solicit information implies.
Posted by NealAppeal on 06/10/08 at 01:50 PMThe art was cool...but the I think once you strip away a lot of the flash and pomp from this book the story you are left with is kind of similar to a lot of other apocalyptic stories we've seen lately (End League, Fear Agent, North Wind...)
Posted by AlexG on 06/12/08 at 09:24 AMI thought this was pretty great. I like that this isn't just a post-apocalyptic society, it's a post-post-apocalytic. Reminds me of Medievil Europe after the plague years, which killed something like half of the population, even up to 75% in some series. I'm interested in the mentality of that kind of society. Which it seems like Hickman is exploring. Plus, this was super fun. That Lightbender guy--totally crazy, right?
Posted by NealAppeal on 06/12/08 at 10:04 PMAlright Ron's review cynched it for me, I'll pick this up on Wednesday.

I'm super excited about this, but I hope we manage to get new issues of this more regularly than we do pax romana (where is that third issue?).
