Chew #2
It's Tony Chu's first day on the job as a federal agent for the FDA, the most powerful law-enforcement agency on the planet. He's got a new partner who thinks he knows everything, a boss who hates his guts for no good reason, and his first order of business is to eat a decomposing finger found in a fast food cheeseburger. By the end of the day, Tony will ingest rancid sushi, face Yakuza assassins and meet the girl of his dreams. It's all in a day's work for Tony Chu, in the latest chapter of "Chew," a deliciously unsettling new comic about cops, crooks, cooks, cannibal and clairvoyants.

Yes! #01 was my POW when it came out, and I expect greatness from this as well. One of the best new indie series of the year so far.
Posted by kwisdumb on 06/29/09 at 06:27 PMPity issue 1 came out the same week as Batman and Robin#1 so not many made it their potw. Even so it was mine.
Posted by Imjustbettr on 06/30/09 at 12:22 AMThe art is so fresh in this book, it's seriously a breath of fresh air to me. The story also started off great with issue one. I hope this issue is just as good.
Posted by balsalm on 06/30/09 at 12:38 AMi missed the first issue. But, thankfully, they got a reprinting of the first one so I can read them in the same week.
Posted by vadamowens on 06/30/09 at 03:48 AMI missed the first issue as well, but it wasn't my fault. My comics shop recieved their shipment of #1 but it was damaged and they had to send it back. But then, the distrubutor ran out of copies to replace them with! Poor guy, he had so many people wanting that issue. So now myself and everyone else who wanted that one are on a list for the reprint.
Posted by Ninjaman65 on 06/30/09 at 09:51 AMThis is a must read book.
Posted by kortum22 on 06/30/09 at 11:14 AMIssue #1 is awesome and I'm happy the iFanboy crew considered it for a POTW. The art is amazing and the storyline is original.
Posted by Supergrande76 on 06/30/09 at 10:05 PMUgh, second time my main store didn't get it. Looks like I'll have to go to the backup store tomorrow.
Posted by Slockhart on 07/01/09 at 05:33 PMnever read issue 1 but a freind recomended it and i gotta say this is one of the most creative/funny things i've read in a long time.
Posted by Patman2 on 07/01/09 at 08:11 PMThis is sad- went to three stores today and still couldn't get ahold of the first issue. Looks like I might have to wait for the trade.
Posted by greenbillblue on 07/01/09 at 08:38 PMI was a little mixed about the first issue, but this second issue has me hooked. It would've been my pick of the week had Batman & Robin #2 not come out this week.
Posted by vinh on 07/01/09 at 10:11 PMditto @vinh
Posted by Imjustbettr on 07/02/09 at 05:58 AMI think the 2nd printing of #1 should be coming out soon.
Posted by AmirCat on 07/02/09 at 09:30 PMmy store didnt have the first issue either :(
Posted by Brianlittle on 07/03/09 at 05:27 AMI think I will be trade-waiting this one. I am intrigued by it, but don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to find it.
Posted by SunnyvaleTrash on 07/03/09 at 03:00 PM@SunnyvaleTrash Ask your comicshop to order it for you. It's easyer for you AND for the shop. And no hassle involved.
