Yet another week of solid fun story telling. I am very interested in seeing what happens with Sun-chained-in-ink. I hope this is not the last we see of him. They wasted the Jokester in Countdown and hope they don't continue that trend here.
Posted by stuclach on 09/04/08 at 09:21 PMI look forward to this book more and more as the weeks go on. This is exactly what I want to read right now: a well-crafted superhero story that takes advantage of the scope of the DCU and its continuity instead of being a slave to it, with beautiful art to match. I realize the fanboy masses have deemed this "UNIMPORTANT" as they did with Brave & the Bold (another wonderful book) but it's a total breath of fresh air in the middle of the world of cross-overs and writing for the trade that we now live in.
And Goody-Goody Deathstroke is the best.
Posted by Dante on 09/05/08 at 06:45 AMI thought it was pretty good. The story is picking up a lot. It still feels weird because of Final Crisis going on and this having nothing to do with anything but as a stand alone story its good fun.
Posted by CharlieBlix on 09/05/08 at 06:48 PMI am liking this book more than JLA right now.
Posted by WadeWilson on 09/07/08 at 12:30 AMI don't like the "stick it out" angle. If you've stuck it out so far, you've spent $42. That's alot of money to invest in the beginning of a story. If they're going to tell 52 part stories, they need to figure out how to do that without pouring molasses into the main arc.

Not as good as last week's issue, but important development. Perhaps it is because I am new to comic books in general and definitely a new reader to these long arc stories, but I fail to see how a book like this can be judged by so many in such a short period of time. With a plot this large, it seems of necessity that some issues have to be plot set ups, which are less exciting, to allow for the smaller climaxes along the way.
I see this week's issue as one that is more about setting plot.
