I was waiting for the Superwoman arc to end before I gave this book a shot, so just so I'm caught up, who was it?

If I remember correctly, Superwoman is Lois Lane's little sister probably recruited by General Lane who's true motivation has yet to be seen unless they clued people in before New Krypton Special cuz that's when I started reading Supes again...

Supergirl has been a POTW contender since New Krypton began. Who'd have thunk? A little sad to see Igle couldn't do this whole book - I love his art.

Jumping in! I really liked the super girl from the super man cartoon.

I will probably stick with Superman throughout the whole "New Krypton/World Without..." year, but Supergirl makes the almost weekly Superman dose soooo easy. It's my favorite S book and I love Gates writing so much that I want to comission him now to write my wedding vows and my orbituary in advance.

Woo Hoo! Igle has returned!!!

Gates is a writer to watch, and Igle's work is perefect for the series. I was initially reluctant to start picking up Supergirl during the New Krypton storyline, but I'm glad I did!

Hope no one was trying to look up Supergirl's skirt on the cover, because I totally wasn't.

@Androidmoser So was I and now it's prbably my favorite DC book behind GL

I think the reason I keep buying Supergirl, and Action for that matter, is because of the art.  The stories are action packed enough but there just isn't anything innovative enough to pay more then $2.99 for.  That why Supergirl stays and Action is about to get CUT.

$5 for an Annual?!  That shit better be like 125 pages!

Gates seems to be the first writer in a long while to be able to write Supergirl as a teenager without resorting to making her come off as a bimbo slut.

@Robbydzwonar

A bit dramatic, considering 125 would be a trade...  It's $5 for an issue and a half... A lot of fuss over 50 cents

Posted by Slockhart on 06/16/09 at 05:24 PM

from 2.99 to 4.99 is 2 dollars, not .50

where did u go to school?

Posted by robbydzwonar on 06/16/09 at 07:09 PM

Hence the whole part about issue and a half

3 x 1.5 = 4.5

I don't know, we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if ACTION is even remotely worth five dollars.

I'm definitely getting Supergirl tomorrow though.  That was already set in stone when I emailed my LCS on Thursday.

Good issue. A little slow compared to the last one, but still well paced and well executed. I can't believe how invested I am in the story line here. Great stuff. Can't wait till next month. 4/5
