I am loving this book.  I could do with a different fill-in artist though....

I love this book month-in and month-out (Has anyone else noticed I've been doing a lot of hyphenated sentences.) and that really shocks me. I never expected to love a book featuring Supergirl but here I am. Good job to Mr. Gates. I'll be sad to not have Jamal Igle's art in this issue though, he's been a favorite of mine since the Firestorm series way back when. And last issue's two-page spread was really awesome.

I'm digging it too! I just wish there was a diffent fill in artist then no-talent caldwell

Is Igle off the book?

Posted by WinTheWonderboy on 05/18/09 at 11:00 PM

@winthewonderboy I believe Talent Caldwell is filling in for Igle.

I love Gates. I hope he works forever.

I'm jumping in with this issue, due Igle's and Gate's interview on Word Balloon.

I remember when Sterling was just a boy at the comic book store in Norman, Oklahoma.....look how he has grown.

Man, these covers have been great.  Middleton's awesome.

Good news Caldwell wasn't the fill in artist

Posted by MrGlass on 05/20/09 at 08:26 PM

@MrGlass  you know, i didn't check the credits, but as I read it I thought to myself 'I should not have said that on i Fanboy, this isn't bad art.'

Posted by magnum240 on 05/20/09 at 08:44 PM

Awesome awsesome conclusion. The overall arc was a little overrated in my book, but this was a great issue that is going to keep me on this book. Art was great too

I'm confused now, Igle is not on this issue and the solicit says Talent Caldwell, but the actual issue is credited as Fernando Dagnino??

Posted by DemonBoy on 05/21/09 at 10:17 AM

@demonboy That happens more often than you'd think, but yeah.

Picked the book up and am very excited I did. Great issue. I wish Igle was on art, but c'est la vie. Great conclusion to the arc. Supegirl remains, for me, the best Super-book out there right now. Great stuff. 5/5. POTW for me.
