Supergirl #32
It's the moment of truth, as Supergirl struggles to do the impossible by fulfilling her promise to find a cure for a young boy's fatal illness. If she succeeds, she will change the course of history – and maybe not for the better! And if she fails, a child will die.

This is it, actually. I actually dug this run. Kind of sorry to see them replaced so quickly. Definitely the best treatment she's received since Loeb/Turner tramped her out (barring recent appearances via Johns, natch).
Posted by southbymidwest on 08/07/08 at 01:05 PMThe Supergirl title has been slowly getting better (outside that little bump a few issues ago) and hopefully that continues with Gates.
I really liked the design of future Supergirl's outfit. I wouldn't mind seeing that become her current look and maybe it would quiet those that always complain about her dress.
Posted by adrian on 08/09/08 at 12:57 AMWell, although I guess it was a tad predictable (the hero deciding he/she can't become no better than the villain), I did think the time travel angle was cool... Like Adrian, I did really prefer Superigrl's future outfit to her current one... and I did still feel some of the story's intended emotional impact (and I didn't even read the whole arc -- I jumped on with Will Pfeifer's issue two months back). So a good job overall. I am looking forward to reading this title regularly as the new creative team integrates it into the rest of Supes' world.

Aaarrghh...when is this storyline going to end?
It seems she has been trying to cure this kid for the last 15 years.
Hurry up Gates and Igle, this title needs a new storyline desperately.
