I was going to pick this up so I checked out the mini and though I can appreciate the appeal and Simone and Scott's craft, I just couldn't dig it. I want to dig it, but I can't.
Weird.
Any idea on the other two members? I

Posted by TomO on 09/02/08 at 09:54 PMI haven't read the Secret Six since the Villains United Countdown to Infinite Crisis mini and a few issues in their cameo in Birds of Prey. I can start this fresh, right?
Posted by GungaDin on 09/02/08 at 11:11 PMI have no idea what this is but Im going to give it a shot. When was the last time there was a Secret Six comic and is it worth picking up?
Posted by CharlieBlix on 09/02/08 at 11:13 PMCatwoman?
Posted by southbymidwest on 09/03/08 at 12:50 AM@CharlieBlix It's a series about a team of six supervillains. Good stuff...
Posted by GungaDin on 09/03/08 at 01:19 AMI'm expecting the art on this to be really good, but I'm gonna wait until I've heard a couple of opinions on the writing before parting with cold hard cash. Although we'll see how I feel when I flick through it at the store...
Posted by Cooper on 09/03/08 at 12:18 PM@Cooper - With Simone writing you are practically guaranteed some great snappy dialogue. Flip through it and get your wallet ready.
Posted by BatStewie on 09/03/08 at 11:01 PMSimone's a great writer but there's something about these characters that leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 09/04/08 at 12:39 AMI picked this up because of the advertising in the comic shop news.
Does anyone else notice that the rating for this book is currently a 7.5? Something must be screwy with the number system, or some other readers are superdelegates.
Posted by accent on 09/04/08 at 04:17 PMYeah this was awesome...however did anyone else have an add for Final Crisis #5 featuring a partial spoiler for issue #4, aka the one not out yet.
Posted by brianmaru on 09/04/08 at 09:25 PMNow this was FUN. What a great read. I love Lawton, Ragdoll and Catman. I'm in for this one for the long haul.
Posted by Lewis on 09/04/08 at 09:42 PMGreat first issue. Eccentric characters, small back stories, big trouble to come...it all sounds good. Great job Simone!
Posted by accent on 09/04/08 at 10:00 PMThis was indeed totally awesome. Love the villian in the box. I can't believe none of the iFanboys picked this up.
This issue had just so much in it that told you major awesomeness was going down in this arc. So much was set in motion and it was set in motion in a way that was completely exciting. A perfect example of how to really get a series going in the first issue.
@brianmaru I thought that was a spoiler for FC: Revelations #1. Unless we got different ads.
Posted by NealAppeal on 09/04/08 at 11:07 PM@brianmaru- that ad was referencing what happened in Final Crisis: Revelations #1. so it was'nt a spoiler.
Posted by Kory on 09/05/08 at 10:24 AMBah, like the only one I didn't pick up. Bah I say!
Posted by brianmaru on 09/05/08 at 10:27 AMThis book was F'ing sweet. I loved every moment of it. Wow I hope this stays good because I think it's just what I was looking for. Funny, out there, and different. Great stuff.
Posted by CharlieBlix on 09/05/08 at 04:29 PMThe openning dialogue between Catman and deadshot is what sums up the book. They are bad guys that are not necessay evil, but sometimes are hired to do evil things. That and some of the personalities in the team are funny together.
Posted by cyberauron on 09/05/08 at 10:59 PMrespect the GUN!

Why did they have to cover up the groovy Chiang cover art with an upside down curly question mark/six combo?
Clever logo idea (a little forced), but not as cool as the superdudes and megawomen behind it.
