Scalped #31

Scalped #31

FBI Agent Nitz finally has what he's dreamed about for years: an eyewitness who can put Chief Red Crow away for murder. Unfortunately, the only thing standing in his way just happens to be his own undercover agent, Dash Bad Horse. Part two of the pivotal new arc "The Gnawing" offers more surprises and plenty more bloodshed.

wow, 31 issues.  I'm ready to put this up there with Preacher, Y, and Fables as one of the best books vertigo has ever put out

I second.

Yeah.... it seems like only yesterday Dash was rockin some numchucks (which was the ONLY thing I didn't LOVE about this book, so I'm glad they disappeared long ago). This book is always at the top of my stack and never really disappoints.

haha, forgot all about the nunchucks.  that was an interesting decision...

I'm convinced Jock is incapable of doing a bad cover.

#30 was spectacular, but i dont know how long Aaron can keep this pace up, Dash can't stay alive for much longer.

Its fucking better than Y and Fables, but not near Preacher at all. To be quite honest 100 bullets was way better and tighter. Hellblazer's also a better read, Constantine is the perfect anti/tortured hero.

Last issue was cool. I hope this one at least as good or better.

I don't think it's necessarily fair to compare all of these books, but I think SCALPED is better than FABLES, but not as good as Y.

Anyway, the last issue was stellar. Can't wait for this.

SCALPED is the best title put out by any publisher in the history of comic books. It's pretty much the greatest thing in the whole entire universe.

I dont think I'd go as far as JesseG, but I am enjoying this more than I enjoyed Preacher. Preacher had a lot of points that I only kept reading because I was hoping I'd get as good as it had been. Preacher peaked for me in what I think was the thrid story arch, where you meet Jesse's family.

I've yet to even remotely think about dropping Scalped.

My favorite book at Vertigo right now.

@JesseG -- the universe is an understatement.

Story building arch. Arron just keeps on moving his pieces into position. Really wonder where he's going with this. Can't wait for next issue(s).

Did you see the R.M. Guerra adaptation of Inglorious Basterds in Playboy?

Such a great issue. Love where this is going. 5/5.
