The way she looks on the cover...you'd think it'd be about money.
Posted by Neb on 09/29/08 at 10:30 PMSweet! I love Manhunter!
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 09/30/08 at 01:17 AMDid you know Andreyko has a running money back guarantee on Manhunter? No joke.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 09/30/08 at 01:18 AMMaybe it means she will be using K-Fed's weapons against him?
Posted by WadeWilson on 09/30/08 at 11:21 AMPulls are down this week so far. C'mon iFanbase! This is good comics!
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 09/30/08 at 05:21 PMPulls being down is not good. I don't understand why Kate Spencer is not resonating with more people. Anyone who read Alias or is reading Daredevil should be into this.
Posted by Hoshigaki on 09/30/08 at 08:38 PMLet's all write reviews.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 10/01/08 at 12:03 AMI'm down.
On such a quiet week for comics, it's a good time for people to try this out.
Posted by WadeWilson on 10/01/08 at 04:15 AMI'll write one too.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 10/01/08 at 06:03 AMI actually have not written a review yet for the site, but I'm down to write one for this book.
Posted by Hoshigaki on 10/01/08 at 11:01 AMThis book is my surprise book of the year. Never read or cared about Manhunter until I picked up the series return issue. Great stuff!
Posted by cromulent on 10/01/08 at 11:59 AMMaybe the reason no one is picking it up because....They never rebooted the series back to #1? Seriously didnt this get on hitaus around 31-32 issue mark? Then they bring it back and goes right back into the setting and story that no basic comic book reader will understand cause it went on hitaus for so long.
It sounds certainly interesting but I would love to read the other 30-odd issues before I go into a story that is already deep into it's own plot...
Posted by TheNextChampion on 10/01/08 at 04:13 PMActually, issue #31 has a very eloquent recap of the story so far. I would say that it's mostly straight-forward from that point on except for issue #34.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 10/01/08 at 11:21 PMI would caution everyone freaking out about the pulls. Pulls are down this week across the board, most likely because it's such a light week that less people are coming to the site to pull their books. Looking week-to-week is not as important as looking for trends.
Posted by conor on 10/02/08 at 03:12 AM@TheNextChampion - I started the book upon the reboot having never read a MANHUNTER comic in my life and had no trouble following it. It was written as new reader friendly.
Posted by conor on 10/02/08 at 03:14 AMThanks for the info Conor. Didn't know this. And yes, Andreyko seem to intend to be mostly new reader friendly.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 10/02/08 at 05:34 AMOh, and I'm not "freaking out". Plus i just noticed that the total pull today is up by 20+ from a few days ago.
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 10/02/08 at 07:22 AMI also started on the reboot & haven't been lost at all. I'm also reading through the trades to catch up & I wish I was reading this since the start because it's now one of my favourite comics.
This issue is my POW.

"Kate uses the Fed's own weapons against them," --
I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be "the Feds'" but I'm now envisioning Kate defeating her enemies by raising interest rates.
