Jsa Vs Kobra #2 (OF 6)
A reinvigorated Kobra has attacked the Justice Society in their home, thrusting the heroes into a maelstrom of deception and violence, and the evidence points to an even bigger target on the horizon: S.T.A.R. Labs. As the Justice Society tracks Kobra sleeper cells through the streets of Metropolis, the mystery of Jason Burr's master plan deepens. Can the team defuse the threat in time - or will the growing tensions between them spell victory for Kobra? Continuing the new miniseries event from Eric Trautmann (CHECKMATE, FINAL CRISIS: RESIST) and artist Don Kramer (DETECTIVE COMICS, NIGHTWING)!

Yeah issue 1 was a real surprise. Looking forward to this and any future work by Trautmann.

NO GOD BUT GOD.
5/5. Art wasn't as strong in this issue for whatever reason, but the wri.ting was even better than issue 1, so it evens out. Love the Checkmate-ness.
FAITH TO KALI YUGA.

Posted by skeets on 07/17/09 at 10:33 AMYou know, I love Checkmate but I don't mind if there isn't an ongoing book, as long as Checkmate turns up in books like this, then I'm happy. I want to see more of Sasha Bordeaux and Mr Terrific's good lovin'.

Yes!
I urge you all to check this out, as I said in the New Comics comment thread. Eric Trautmann has such a passion for telling stories with these characters, and Don Kramer completely kills it on every level. If you're not reading this you're missing out!
