House Of Mystery #6
Every haunted house has a scary basement, sure. But this is the House of Mystery - this is the basement the other basements are scared of. And yes, we're going down there. And we're going to stay awhile.
Meanwhile, Pirate Queen Ann Preston stars in a bloody symphony of lust, greed, desire and deception that begins with buried treasure and ends with buried bodies. This series has been so really enjoyable so far. Long may it continue!
Posted by TheApeThatEscaped on 09/30/08 at 05:23 PMI'm trying to cut down on my single issues and move to trades but I think this is one of few books that reads exceptionally well when you read it spaced out from month to month so I'm in on this for the long haul.
I also can't wait to read the UNKNOWN SOLDIER preview. I've been looking forward to this book for ages.
Posted by deadspace on 10/01/08 at 09:14 AMI don't know if I could see this as a trade. I mean I know they will make one and all but I think this works the best in issues. I really enjoyed this one by the way. I thought it was great to get some back story on one of the main characters. I hope they do this with the rest of the cast as well.

Posted by BoneMachine on 10/03/08 at 04:02 PMi agree this is a series that reads great in issues. it's been interesting and leaves a lot of questions open.
i liked how this one incorporated the issue story into the larger story. in the other issues it was crazy shit going on with the house and then a story told by someone in the bar in the middle. this issue was more smooth.
Posted by bird on 10/04/08 at 06:20 PMThis issue's substory is far and away the best one yet, and Akin's art is top-notch.
