If you ask me, you can't go wrong with a book written by Johns and drawn by McKone!

@torippu--I agree, but I'm still hesitant about the Alphas.  They kinda creep me out a bit, but maybe that's what they are supposed to do.

I'm really enjoying this series, but I want to move on with Alpha's.  Let's see them do something.  It seems like all the Green Lantern books are simply focusing on how scary they are.  I don't need that.  They already looking fucking scary!  I'm excited for this one though.

Yeah this story arc has been a little lacking for me.  It's been good, I mean it's Geoff Johns, but not as good as this book has been recently.  I'm curious to see how this ends.

I think the Alpha Lantern thing has been good so far. I like the idea that it's developing so slowly! My feeling is that something is coming that no one expects. I guess that's why it is that slow, so the revelation will hit us like a train.

Anyway, just my two cents...

I agree with you cylonpete.  I enjoy the slow build with a huge payoff...so to speak.

I know what you guys mean I guess it's the slow down after The Sinestro Corps war.  The best thing about Johns is the fact that the stuff he writes now will come into play possibly years down his run on GL.  I went back and reread rebirth recently and saw some tid bits that were foreshadowing to what has happened in the last couple years of this book.

How many issues has this arc been running for? I'd like to read this comic once I can find a good place to hop on.

@wiggin - Next issue will be a good hopping on point.

What an ending

Wiggin, start with Rebirth, read forward. All good. You won't regret it.

I like the story progression in this book. When the Sinestro Corps War ended I was afraid that the buildup to Blackest Night would just drag (and it does in the Corps book). Here, though, you can just feel the pressure building. The interaction between Hal and Sinestro is top of the line. The art, eh.. so so. Looked a lot like the Corps book.

Much props to Laira. Damn she looked good, cept maybe her boobs were a bit over-sized. I hope she goes on an incinerating binge starting with that ugly bitch, Bodikka. And maybe while she's at it, makin' those bitch-ass loompahs regret lettin her go.

Free Sinestro!

I love this sense of impending doom. Like the storm clouds keep gathering and there are occasional lightening flashes but, the buckets of rain and hurricane winds have not started yet.

There is this sense that the universe is completely rudderless and everything is spiraling out of control.

I'm really liking the book right now, and anytime a female character can be focused on is awesome.

No love for the Guardians though and the Alpha Lanterns are a creepy bunch.

Johns continues to spin "Green" magic. The best thing about this book right now is all of the deep ties it still shares with the Sinestro Corps. War. Things introduced and mentioned in that crossover are already being adressed. Johns is introducing some amazing things into the GL mythos and I'm loving every page of it!

Is it just me, or is Sinestro's dialogue just getting better the longer he stays in that Sciencell? I'm still loving this book.

What happens to Laira now???

Are the Red Lanterns true villains?  If so, this is one great example of a tragic villain.
