Does this one say Green Arrow VS Black Canary like the last issue? I hated that.

I don't read this, so I don't know why I care, but who's the co-feature of?

Posted by Slockhart on 07/07/09 at 12:19 AM

The co-feature is Green Arrow or Black Canary. The two characters are going to be switching lead stories back and forth I think.

looking forward to see what the new inker will do to Mike's  and the over all mood of the book

Green Arrow officialy dropped by me as of this issue. I have the full run from the longbow hunters all the way to GABC 21. I just can't take this writer anymore and it breaks my heart to drop it but the price rise is the final nail in the coffin.

@petrorabbit:  I don't have as much invested as you do, only started reading Green Arrow around issue 50 of the last run, but I hate dropping this too.  It's not worth the extra buck, the stories have really sucked for the most part since GABC started, and the lead up with the marriage seemed so promising.  Sad to drop it, but certain price increases have caused me to scale back on the books that wind up at the bottom of my weekly pile.  #21 was my last issue and it's mid story, and I don't care what happens!

ok, Conor is the known GA fan, but only Ron is reading this. Why?

Posted by Aquaman on 07/07/09 at 05:13 PM

@Aquaman: Because I think the book got really bad after Winick left so I dropped it.

Posted by conor on 07/08/09 at 12:47 AM

@Conor: I agree that the book hasent been good. I guess im still reading it because its this or nothing with GA. Ive already read every trade of Winick/Meltzer/Smiths run, Green Lantern Green Arrow, as well as tons of back issues. GA is my favorite character and its hard to simple stop reading his book. Lets just hope this low point picks up.

Maybe it would be better if i had you attitude towards comics. I guess I think more like Ron and cling to books hopeing that they get better instead of dropping them until they get good again. Your way would at least save me time and money.

But why the hell is Ron clinging to this??? Its not an X-Men title.......

@phantomphrenemy i know what you mean it has sucked for a while but the 299 price has been bareable. but 399 - no way.

I don't understand the logic, a book isn't selling well so they add a dollar to the price and add just 8-10 pages. It makes no sense to me.

This issue was a bit of a let down after having enjoyed the last issue. I'm not quite sure where "Crazy Moral Center" Ollie is coming from. I'm not sure where unsure Dinah is coming from. But I really, really don't want to give up on this book. Green Arrow was one of the characters that I first encountered when I got back into comics. It was a great time, Kevin Smith was considered a good comic book writer, GA was important. I've since gone back and gotten the whole shebang of GA comics. I love this character. I don't want to see him fail. (Or get blown up again.)

3/5 for me.

I still like this book.

Green Arrow is my favorite character. i like black canary and everything, but i want 22 pages of green arrow and 10 pages of black canary. and why is dinah trying to get ollie to quit? where did that come from? that is something that i have been hating about the new writer. stop it. kreisberg!

Posted by micahmyers on 07/10/09 at 08:59 PM

@michahmyers - From what they've said so far, the book isn't going to be 20 pages of Black Canary each issue. They might switch it around or have 30 pages of both characters.
