I pulled this off the shelf at the store, opened the first page, saw the kids, flipped through a few more pages, still saw the kids, and then put it back on the shelf. How were it?

a lot of the jokes in this book just fell flat for me. a couple made me smirk but i think it could have been done better.
i don't mind the kids. i don't think they're they greatest characters but i don't understand the huge hate i read on some message boards about them. then again i bought like 8 issues of the fastest man alive before i gave up so give me 10 more issues.
i gave it 3 stars maybe shoulda been 2. first story of a new arc with a new writer so maybe it will kick total ass whence it's done.

All I could think of when I looked at the cover was the schtick from Tommy Boy:
"Bees! Bees! Run for your lives, Bees! Your weapons are useless against them!"
