Booster Gold #25

"Day of Dead" concludes as Booster Gold battles Black Beetle in the past and jumps through time to team up with the new Batman and Robin in the future. But how are these events connected - and what is the Black Beetle really after?

BOOSTER and the BAT are a cool combo.  I'm sick of paying out the extra for a story I have not been able to get into.  It's odd, I like Jamie Reyes as the Blue Bettle but I'm just not feeling the second feature, maybe I'll like them better the second time around (fingers crossed).

I don't mind the Blue Beetle back up but I do really like Booster Gold.  He probably has one of the dumbest looking costumes and definitlely one of the stupidest names in super hero comics, but ever since I read the first 6 issues of this series by Johns, I was hooked.  I love the whole time travel thing across DC continuity, even though I'm no buff on the subject.  I'm glad this series sells relatively well, and I dig Dan Jurgens on writing and art.  Looking forward to the Ted Kord Black Lantern issue.

@dneufeld   yeah i had forgotten how solid jurgens was on story and art but he's always good. this arc has been a lot more exciting than the last one so i think i'm back in for the long haul. no more feeling like i should drop it.

Yeah I'm a big Jurgens fan too.  I love this title and I have to say I'm digging the Blue Beetle feature too...

@RoiVampire - I think I prefer this current arc to the last one as well.  I picked up the Reality Lost trade, and really enjoyed reading it in that format.  But it's one of those books I look forward to every month in issues so I don't want to wait for it.  I liked issue #20 with Booster and the Cold War stuff.  They should do more one off's like that.

This is one of my favorite books.

I'm still hoping Geoff Johns can come back for an arc or two.

I got onboard with the current arc and have been very pleased. Books like Booster Gold are hard to come by these days. It reads like a comic instead of an overreaching attempt at literature. Thanks to Dan Jurgens!

This issue was excellent.  I liked the touching moment with Dick (That is absolutely what she said).

Meh. I am interested in the Black Beetle mystery but the writing could be better.

The blackboard is back again in this issue with some new topics.  Anyone have a guess as to how they are going to play out?
