Azrael Deaths Dark Knight #3 (OF 3)
If murder and suicide are sins before God, then what if you were asked to kill in the name of God and by doing so, it would ultimately kill you? To reclaim his damaged soul, to redeem the mistakes of his past and to make a difference in a Gotham City that has been torn apart by the death of The Dark Knight, Azrael must make a fateful decision - become a hero and die, serving in Heaven or reject the opportunity and live, damned to suffer in Hell.
And while large issues of life and death, morality and eternal salvation are weighed, Azrael must also confront the two parties interested in regaining the Suit of Sorrows: Talia al Ghul and Nightwing!

I'm hoping at the end of this we see more of Azrael. Maybe G-Mo can take a swing at him in a 'Batman and Robin' arc?
Posted by TheNextChampion on 05/11/09 at 07:33 PMno more morrison PLEASE
Posted by peterporker on 05/11/09 at 10:38 PMI've enjoyed everything from Fabian Nicieza so far.
Posted by Reform on 05/11/09 at 10:52 PM@peterporker: Ugh, your not gonna like the month of July then. Especially if you dont want more of him ;)
Posted by TheNextChampion on 05/11/09 at 11:14 PMFirst issue was really good, second issue was bland, dull & boring, so according to the law of averages, this issue will be average, & it will come with a free dildo.
Posted by WadeWilson on 05/12/09 at 04:51 AMI'm just waiting for the inevitable return of Jean Paul Valley....ugh.
Posted by Croz on 05/12/09 at 10:06 AMA free... huh?
As long as the art's as good as it's been, I think this issue will be great. I didn't think the story was that bad last month, but it would be nice if it was closer to #1. Suprisingly satisfying mini.
Posted by Rustyautoparts on 05/12/09 at 11:06 AMI'm with croz, not that this hasn't been ok, but really in the end I think the only person who can cope with the burden brought with the name azrael is Jean Paul Valley
Posted by convoy83 on 05/12/09 at 08:27 PMI cant wait for the ongoing to come out!
Great issue, glad I stuck with this mini. This could be a big character if DC handles it right.
Posted by TheNextChampion on 05/13/09 at 01:59 PMI was really disinterested in this issue, and felt like I missed a fair bit of the plot. It still feels a lot like Manhattan Guardian to me and I don't know why. Still the art was Pretty. loved that last page. Not coming back for the ongoing 3/5, Art got this an extra star.
Posted by PraxJarvin on 05/13/09 at 06:10 PMI agree, TNC. This mini hit just the right buttons for me. Not the best thing I read this week, but I look forward to seeing more of Azrael in the future. I just hope Blackest Night let's my wallet obey my need for the vengeance of God!
Posted by Rustyautoparts on 05/13/09 at 08:14 PMI might wait for the trade with the ongoing to make sure it's good but it has me interested.
The art is so nice I hope Frazer Irving is on the new on going this fall.
Posted by Reform on 05/13/09 at 09:09 PMReally disliked this story. I'm gonna go ahead and give it 3 stars, but a lot of that is the art. Don't think I'll be checking out the monthly unless I hear good things.

I wasn't so impressed by the last issue, so hopefully this gives a confident wrap-up. I'm glad to know it's only 3 issues, though, as I couldn't see this story going on for 5 or 6.
