Dear God, I need an intervention. Once again I'm committing to ANOTHER Authority series. What is this, volume five? Does the Morrison/Ha "series" actually count? Can I get my money back for those? Sheesh.
Posted by RobAbsten on 08/04/08 at 07:33 PMI'm finally just saying no. After the orignal series, everything else has been blah. Sorry, guys - you tried, but I'm just not interested anymore.
Posted by Dan on 08/04/08 at 10:33 PMI thought the Brubaker run was pretty good, but I wish Wildstorm would pick a direction and stick with it.
Posted by southbymidwest on 08/05/08 at 02:25 AMFor once I believe in the Wildstorm reboot - the world is post apocolytpic and this is more like Mad Max than anything we have seen before. I have a feeling this one will be great (now who needs and intervention?)
Posted by BrikHed on 08/05/08 at 09:37 AMI have faith that DNA can make the scope of this story large enough to fit a decent Authority into. This is the first time I am giving wildstorm a shot in years, hopefully it will stick.
Posted by capcool on 08/05/08 at 10:20 AMHey Everyone. Anyone read Number o the beast Event and can give some insight into how it might effect this series.

Number of the Beast was essentially the end of the world. A rash of superhumans were let lose on the world they pretty much destroyed it. The Authority's carrier was crashed into London and this takes place pretty much as the world has just about ended. Picture a Mad Max like world with superheroes.
Posted by BrikHed on 08/05/08 at 05:15 PMI might give this a shot due to the creative team.
Posted by Optimus187Prime on 08/05/08 at 11:47 PMHey, this is actually not bad!
Posted by ultimatehoratio on 08/06/08 at 11:30 PMwhat a fantastic issue.... all the characters are really going through the ringer... I can't wait to see what happens next!
Posted by NodNolan on 08/07/08 at 12:44 PMThis was way better than I expected, good even AND compelling, but the art was overall worse than the Authority deserves.
Posted by southbymidwest on 08/07/08 at 01:00 PMI was very close to picking this up but the art didn't cinch the deal. But, I might pick this up next week since the rating is good.
Posted by cromulent on 08/07/08 at 06:17 PMReally enjoyed this issue and cannot wait to see where we go from here. This fresh status quo is very exciting
