A new standalone tale of the rabbit ronin!
Badly injured from battle, Usagi seeks refuge in a peasant hovel, where a kind family takes him in. However, they become less charitable when they learn that a local gang is looking high and low for the ronin who killed their leader. The family must decide whether to send him away, or continue hiding him and become a target of the brigands. With little choice and much to lose, they may have to abandon the weakened Usagi to the wrath of the cutthroats.
This standalone story is an excellent jumping-on point for new readers!

Posted by tdog on 08/25/09 at 12:05 AM@tdog: I don't believe it has. Only Josh reads it.
Posted by conor on 08/25/09 at 12:23 AM@conor: What is your excuse?
Posted by Bendrix on 08/25/09 at 04:21 AM@conor Hey! Oh, you meant Josh is the only of you that reads it.....sorry, my bad. :)
Posted by usagi on 08/26/09 at 03:41 PMThis is cartooning done right by a master of the craft. I get why the furry animal thing may turn people off, but believe me, that fades to the background quickly. I never I never classify this as a "Furry" book.
Posted by AlexG on 08/26/09 at 04:10 PMThis book is always solid. Sakai is a master. Anyone can pick up any issue and start reading. OK, there are storyarcs, but even those are easily pickupable in the middle. And yes, pickupable is a word.
Posted by cromulent on 08/27/09 at 12:21 PMI really want to start reading UY again, it is solid 100% of the time.
