This book is an "in-the-bag" book for me. I loved the original miniseries, and I've been DYING to see Karl Moline's pencils again. Nothing unexciting about this. God yes.

I'm not all that familiar with the character of Fray, but this book's been so good it instantly gets a pass. After Goddard's amazing run, I'm half expecting some filler here before the next arc starts, but having said that one thing you should never do is second-guess Whedon.

And that cover is awesome!

@Eyun You should read Fray. I really enjoyed it. I'm contemplating reading it again (probably after this is over)...

@GungaDin - Is there a trade? I know of the character, but have no idea how many books are out. I'm ready and willing to jump in, dude, just need to know where you think is a good place. :)

There's only one trade paperback of Fray, collecting the entire 8 issue mini and is well worth a read.

I am so looking forward to this comic!

@Ilash You're right, but there's also a small story in "Tales of the Slayers," something I really enjoyed because it didn't have much (if anything at all) to do with Buffy and just dealt with slayers across time.

It's very anthological, and if that interests you, you can also look into "Tales of the Vampires" which has some really great one shot short stories (mostly only three to four pages) about vampires and the like.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that you should go through the iFanboy store if you want to order them...

Of course, how could I forget Tales of the Slayers, it was a pretty good read all in all and the Fray story was the definite highlight.

Haven't read Tales of the Vampires yet though.

Just finished this. Not gonna review heavy on it... But... it was a'ight. Nothing super spectacular. Lots of set-up. Nice to see Kennedy, nice to see Vi. Dawn's transformation made me laugh. And the art felt like it was over inked... Other than that, good issue.
