I must admit, it is much easier to read this in trade than issue to issue because of the pacing. As for your suggestion of monsters though?? This is Zorro, not Tales from the Crypt. Its historical based fiction.

<yawn>...Matt Wagner needs to step it up on this book and Madame Xanadu...enough with the long no action all dialogue plotlines of refined gentlemen and ladies in historic settings...how about a story where Zorro kicks some ass? This book is inching its way off my pull list...I feel like its been 15 issues of background and origin stories...it is time to stop justifying Zorro and filling out his world, and time for him to do something! And how about some truly scary villains, some weird ones, some monsters, etc, etc?
