Spike After The Fall #1 (OF 4)

Spike After The Fall #1 (OF 4)

RAISE SOME HELL! Spinning out of the 'First Night' events in Angel: After the Fall comes the official story of Spike's first months in hell. How did he come to be here? Why is Illyria with him? And exactly how did he come to set up shop in a certain famous mansion in Beverly Hills? It's all the hell, none of the Angels in the first of four issues courtesy of the After the Fall team of Brian Lynch and Franco Urru, who provides two special Spike covers offered in a 50/50 ratio-one featuring Spike's human face, one in all its vamped-out fury! Aussie art team The Sharp Brothers offer a special 'grindhouse'-inspired incentive cover, too!

Dumb question, but who is Spike?

Posted by Guardedmarman on 07/14/08 at 06:27 PM

Can't wait!

@Guardedmarman - Spike's the Billy Idol-esque vamp. He was in most later Buffy seasons on the show, the last Angel season and currently in the Angel book. And - he's - awesome! :)

Who is writing this book?

Posted by Corskione on 07/14/08 at 06:35 PM

@Eyun- Oh ok thanks thought it had to do something with that universe but wasnt sure.

Another Buffy spin-off? Jesus when will it end!?

Posted by TheNextChampion on 07/14/08 at 08:30 PM

@Guardedmarman - No probs dude, it's worth checking out. The Angel trade (After The Fall) is out in a couple months, it's worth a look if you like the characters. Really good writing.

@TheNextChampion - It'll probably end when it stops being good. Plus the Buffy comic has nothing to do with the Angel book, as different companies own the rights to the characters.

Posted by Eyun on 07/14/08 at 11:36 PM

@Corskione - Brian Lynch is writing it.

Posted by Eyun on 07/14/08 at 11:39 PM

@Eyun: Hate to do it, but Billy Idol actually stole the look from Spike... :)

And you're right, he's totally awesome!

@cylonpete - *slaps forehead* You're right again, I forgot about that!

Damn you, cylonpete!

;)

@TheNextChampion If you put the pieces together (assuming Angel and Buffy are treated as separate) this Angel Season Six series (which this is a part of) will run for twenty issues.

Posted by GungaDin on 07/15/08 at 03:24 PM

Someone (I completely apologise, I can't remember who... sorry) comented on the last issue thread that Brian Lynch is finishing Angel up around 16 I think, then letting Spike run for a while.

Whoever thus spake it, come forth and claim your credit!  ;)

Posted by Eyun on 07/15/08 at 07:35 PM

Ummmm... I know that he's said Angel ends at issue 16 and Spike is a four issue-er....

I think I said that =p

Posted by GungaDin on 07/15/08 at 07:59 PM

@GungaDin - Many apologies, dude. I remember now. Long day and I totally misread your post.

Sorry mate, I'll buy you a beer if I see you at a Con! :)

Posted by Eyun on 07/15/08 at 09:35 PM

@Eyun You're at Con? Awesome, but you do know I'm like... 19, right?

Other than that, right on! *thumbs up*

But seriously, it's cool, dude. No worries about the whatevers... I just like to be snarky sometimes...

Posted by GungaDin on 07/15/08 at 10:15 PM

@GungaDin - Ha, Not at Con dude, I said "if". But nice try to sneak in an underage beer!

Yep, snarky is good!

I don't know how I feel about this issue.  I really wish IDW didn't charge 3.99 for every issue they make
