Posted by OddsBodkins on 03/30/09 at 07:16 PMI'm a fan of Mark Waid, and after what BOOM! did with the kids line, I owe it to them to check out this book. Hopefully it'll be good!

Posted by jannaeh on 03/31/09 at 05:16 PM"In superhero comics, pretty much everyone who's called upon to put on a cape is, at heart, emotionally equipped for the job. I reject that premise," said series writer and BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Mark Waid. "IRREDEEMABLE is, in a way, my third and most complex chapter on the cost of superheroics - a pulp adventure tale of horror exploring how the lessons we learn about right and wrong as children can become warped and twisted when challenged by the realities of the adult world."
Posted by jobob247 on 03/31/09 at 09:05 PMHOLY SHIT! I just read the preview...and i'm soooooooooo excited for this now. This is probubly my most anticipated title this week now. I was gonna drop it just to save a couple bucks...but i think it will even out, thanks to The Boys =P

Posted by wayne2001bc on 03/31/09 at 11:46 PMPricey. Extra pages?
Posted by JumpingJupiter on 03/31/09 at 11:48 PMI'm not so sure if I should add this comic book to my collection because first of all I don't know this dude and his comic book brand looks like it's from an un-known company.
Posted by evil09 on 04/01/09 at 04:57 AMThis has a really good premise and could turn out pretty awesome depending on how it's handled. Hopefully it's more of the slow transformation from being good to going bad, and not just being bad now killing good guys.
Posted by s1lentslayer on 04/01/09 at 09:01 PMSo in the store it looked like standard 32 pages. I'll get the trade.
Posted by miyamotofreak on 04/01/09 at 09:37 PMStory wasn't bad can't wait to see where it goes.
Posted by JesTr on 04/02/09 at 08:52 AMNice start...I liked the art in ballpark scene flashback.
Posted by wayne2001bc on 04/02/09 at 10:31 AMI thought this first issue was great; really set the foundation for what's to come.
Posted by balsalm on 04/02/09 at 08:51 PM
How many story pages is this?
Posted by 400yrs on 04/02/09 at 09:57 PM23 story pages. 5 page preview of The Unknown at the end.
Posted by wayne2001bc on 04/03/09 at 01:53 AMVery, very good, 5-star book. I eagerly anticipate the next issue.
Posted by kwisdumb on 04/03/09 at 02:12 AM@Wayne: Thanks!
I pass then.
Read this the other day. I haven't been this excited by a comic in a while. This was REALLY excellent. I can't wait to see where it goes.
Posted by Rchapoteau on 04/05/09 at 09:53 PMThe story was pretty good, but the art failed to seal the deal for me. This book definitely needed more of a visual punch to set it apart.
I may return if I continue to hear good things, however.
