Doktor Sleepless #10
Doktor Sleepless continues his ranting and radio in this ongoing series from Warren Ellis. It's such a noisy world, isn't it? The cries of the disaffected, the screams of the dying, the complaints of all those previously-cozy folks in Central, and all the mad music that clangs and heralds and sounds a bit like the end of the world. Every day the world gets louder, until it seems like all that's left to do is tune it out. It doesn't seem like anyone's really listening anymore, does it? But if the people of Heavenside aren't listening to the Doktor, they should be - because they don't want to miss what he's going to say next! Warren Ellis' satirical-political science fiction novel continues its on-going run! The issue is available with a regular cover by series artist Ivan Rodriguez, or wraparound cover by Raulo Caceres, and also a rare 1-in-15 Future Warning Sign cover.

i was honestly growing tired of this by the end of the first 8 part run. I'm glad i've held on, though. #9 reminded me that Ellis is an amazing storyteller. I hope that the schedule remains tight on this, so that i don't have to re-read everytime.
Posted by branjo on 12/16/08 at 10:26 AMsounds like the good Doktor is going to be absent from most of Chapter Two of this run - Ellis has done a nice job of building one heck of a messed up world here... love this book
Posted by BrikHed on 12/16/08 at 10:42 AMDoes this book have back matter like 'Fell', 'Criminal' etc?
Posted by Khonshu on 12/16/08 at 03:52 PMThe book has backmatter, and if you follow Ellis'ss blog and Twitter you've read almost all of it.
Posted by sigridellis1 on 12/17/08 at 06:53 PMEr, let's pretend I can type.

One of my favourite current comics... but I'm on the wait for the HC.
