I'm not a huge fan of this currect arc (was this part two?), the story's been a little muddy for me. The last arc was great... still a great, underrated book.
Posted by JD on 07/03/08 at 10:43 AMWow, this issue was a lot to take in.
It felt a little bit more like a history lesson/political commentary (with profanity) than a comic book.
Posted by WadeWilson on 07/04/08 at 05:18 PMI think the last issue was a lot more successful at pulling of the history thing than this issue was, but I still liked it. I think my favorite thing about this was the confrontation between Billy and the Homelander. The reluctance on both their parts to out and out start something really just goes to emphasize how insane it's going be when things do inevitably go down. That's not something I've ever seen in a super-hero comic. You never see the hero let the villain get away with something for a prolonged period of time just because they know what the cost of an open conflict will be.
Posted by NealAppeal on 07/04/08 at 08:46 PMYeah, the stare down was pretty awesome. Homelander's red eyes said it all I think.
You think next issue we will see them throw down?
Posted by WadeWilson on 07/05/08 at 01:54 AMMaybe in flashback, but I think them actually throwing down is not going to happen for a while, though when it does, shit's really gonna go to hell.

Wow, No Comments and No Reviews for this. I realize this book isn't for everybody, but The story has come a long way from the 1st Arc. The story has gotten better and better.
